Naomi Borg has lost 20 kilos

Meet Naomi Borg 25 (years old), upon joining the Marion Mizzi programme she achieved amazing results and has lost over 20 kilos. Below Naomi has opened up and shared her experience with us. 

Tell us about yourself and your relationship with food.

I am 25 years old and have always loved food, this made following strict diets very difficult for me to follow therefore I always struggled to lose those extra kilos which were bothering me. I had been trying to lose weight for a number of years but never managed to lose more than 5 kilos until I started the program at Marion Mizzi Wellbeing.

What made you start the weight loss journey?

(The defining moment when you said you need to make a change)

I started looking at myself in the mirror and didn’t like what I saw, I used to be uncomfortable in clothes and photos and knew I had to do something about it. My old lifestyle habits used to leave me very tired and I knew my body was not happy with what I was giving it.

What made you to choose Marion Mizzi instead of other weight loss programs?

(Had you heard good reviews from friends or relatives?)

The Marion Mizzi program was recommended to me by a colleague which had also lost a considerable amount of weight and changed her life to the better.

How did you find the diet plan?

(Was it easy to follow?)

The diet plan was very easy to follow but most of all it is enjoyable. Now that I have reached my goal I still enjoy eating and cooking recipes from the cookbooks which I found to be of immense help. To me, it’s not a diet anymore! It has become a lifestyle.

What did you enjoy doing most throughout the weight loss journey?

(A particular part of the routine which you've enjoyed)

Being 25 and still very much dependant on my parents, I took ownership of cooking and preparing food for myself which is something I enjoyed a lot. I plan my week ahead and prepare food for the day.

Did you like the recipes? What were/are your favourite meals?

(Do you still cook them regularly?)

The cookbooks are amazing and I cannot recommend them enough! I enjoy cooking and preparing food and trying new recipes. Being a pasta lover, one of my fave dishes is the meaty cannelloni page 172 from the purple book!

Which is your favourite meal replacement flavour?

I really enjoy the cookies flavour, I use it also to make ice cream and pancakes, they are tasty!

What was your transformation after the program?

(How much weight Or dress sizes from x to x did you lose?)

I started weighing 77.7 kilos and now I am down to 57.5 – that is 20kilos and from size 12/14 I am now a comfortable size 8!

What would you advise others who are thinking of starting their weight loss journey?

Never give up!  I have seen and experienced firsthand that nothing worth having comes easy, but it will be worth it. I have had downs in my journey, but I never gave up and I can see the result of that today. Nothing beats feeling comfortable and healthy in my own body!
